Does
WTS accept your insurance?
WTS accepts all major insurers and most PPO’s and HMO’s.
Most medical insurance companies, workers compensation plans, Medicare,
and motor vehicle policies generally cover PT treatment. Please
refer to our list under insurers and if your insurance is not listed
we may still be a provider. Please call one of our offices and ask
the receptionist about your specific plan. It is highly probable
that we will be able to bill your insurance for physical therapy.
How
can physical therapy help me?
A licensed therapist will thoroughly evaluate your condition and
identify the source of your discomfort or dysfunction. An individual
treatment plan will be designed which will usually include extensive
education about your particular situation/problem, manual therapy
intervention, the use of exercises, modalities (ultrasound, electrical
stimulation, hot packs), and also biomechanical re-education to
treat the problem area. Education on proper body mechanics and posture
are also key elements provided to prevent re-injury.
What
do I need to bring to my first appointment?
You will need your insurance card, a prescription from your doctor
(for most insurance plans, call us if you have questions), and completed
intake forms if you have chosen to fill them out prior to your appointment
(please see our forms
section). If you were involved in a car accident, please bring
a copy of your Automobile Coverage Selection Page from you auto
insurance carrier.
Does
WTS offer pool therapy?
We provide pool therapy in our Framingham
and Newton
Centre locations.
How
long are initial evaluation appointments?
Evaluations require 30-60 minutes depending upon your diagnosis.
You will also need to come 15 minutes early in order to fill out
the necessary paperwork, so that the therapist can spend the full
time scheduled with you.
How
long will follow-up appointments be?
Plan on being treated at WTS between about 30 and 45 minutes for
follow-up appointments.
Is
there parking available at your locations?
There is ample free parking in our parking lots and on the street
in all of our locations.
My
doctor suggested certain specific types of therapies. Do you do
them?
We work closely with referring physicians to ensure high quality
of appropriate care. Please call with specific questions.
Do
I need a referral?
This depends upon your insurance benefit. Many health insurers today
require an insurance authorization from your primary care physician
(PCP). Please check with your insurance or call our office and we
will be happy to provide you with this information.
What
should I wear?
You will want to wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to
expose the injured part of your body. If you have a leg or foot
injury, it would also be helpful to bring whatever shoes you wear
for exercising or walking. You can also download and fill out the
necessary paperwork to bring in if you would like (check out our
forms section or you can also fill it out when you get here).
How
soon can I receive an appointment?
We
are usually able to see patients for their initial evaluation session
within 24-48 hours depending upon your schedule.
Do
you accept credit cards for payments?
Yes, we accept
Mastercard, VISA, and Discover.
Do
you have a cancellation fee?
We require at
least 24 hour notice of a cancellation. There is a $25 fee if less
than 24 hour notice is provided.
